I Am the Sky, Not the Clouds

Insights from May 21st

I’m out on my beautiful balcony taking in the view, watching the sea, feeling the gentle breeze and the scent of the flowers, the chirping of the birds — I come and go. ON AND OFF — like a switch flipping: connection, disconnection, connection, disconnection.

I can observe my own judgment, fear, and frustration with being disconnected — like a child throwing a tantrum in pure agony, like a victim mentality telling me I’m not in control. Telling me that something bigger than me is running the show.

The victim within me is real, she exists; and then there's the other side, the aggressor — he hates the victim and wants to wipe her out.

I watch these two forces swaying back and forth without identifying with them or judging them. There is a reason they are here.

Deep down, these parts were born from an inner unconditional love that sacrificed itself just to survive the jungle of this Earth.

Condemning, judging, stoning them — none of it works. It only keeps the cycle going. But I can't force them to stop either; forcing only breeds resistance, and resistance perpetuates the whole thing.

So, the only way through is to allow. But there’s a nuance here: this isn't giving up, failing, or just putting up with it. It’s allowing out of unconditional love and compassion for these parts of myself. Letting the wave crash doesn't mean I agree with it — it means seeing it, having compassion for its pain, loving it, but without identifying with it. This is alchemy, mastery, enlightenment, supreme consciousness.

Accepting out of compassion is a completely different world from accepting out of obligation, tolerance, or defeat.

I am not the wave showing up; I am the one who sees it, observes it, and chooses. Integrating the parts of me that are out of alignment requires me to align with the 'I Am' — I am the sky, not the clouds. I observe so I can allow them to exist, letting go of the judgment and the resistance.

Permission. Permission is absolute surrender. No forcing, no rushing, no denying, no judging.

Can you do this right now?

No — then accept your no, make peace with it, without forcing it to change and without giving up.

Yes — then let that yes expand.

Are you Feeling down?

Let yourself be. Don't try to escape it, don't rush it, don't judge it.

Open up space for what you're feeling, space to hold yourself. Become the space. Become the container that holds it all and the essence that lets the flow just flow.

Feel like you're at war?

It’s because one side of you is forcing the other to change, to surrender, to stop, to suck it up, or is judging it for failing.

These sides will never surrender through force, obligation, or defeat — they will always swing back to being the victim or the aggressor. This is the spectrum of duality we live in and want to break free from. But only when we stop attacking ourselves, stop forcing the surrender, and stop judging our own process, will we find that sweet spot: neutrality, surrender, absolute acceptance, presence.

Don't force peace.

Don't force joy.

Don't force love.

Don't force healing.

Don't force the present moment.

Don't force just being.

Observe. Observe. Observe without getting caught up in thoughts, stories, narratives, sensations, feelings, or emotions.

Honor. Honor. Honor your entire being. Even if you don't realize it, you are the one giving life — with your energy, your focus, and your belief — to everything around you.

With all my love,

Lyra
